Mike, Not sure yet exactly how I'll bet, but War Emblem still gets some of my money. His last three fractions after the half mile mark were 24.4, 24.3, and 12.1. And this on a dull strip. Very rare for a front-runner to run faster as the wire nears. So physically he's capable of getting the distance. OTH, his previous owners didn't think he was up to the Derby, Baffert seems less than enthusiastic, the lines prior to his last two suck, and he might not grab another easy lead out of the gate.

I'll also put some money on Private Emblem. Liking him more and more. I haven't seen the charts on the Spiral (Perfect Drift and Request For Parole), but they ran well, though Azillion bombed coming out of it. When I get the Form tomorrow I might stick them in.

If my guys bomb, sentimentally I'm hoping Pinky takes all the marbles. R

Well as long as we are investing on the Derby ...

I'll take Johannesburg across (someday that BC jinx has to be broken). In the tri I'll take a box of Johan, Perfect Drift and Essence of Dubai, and a couple extra with Johan on top and the other two boxed for 2nd and 3rd, same for the Superfecta with most everyone in the 4th spot.

Total cost - about 5 shares of Cisco

Good Luck to all.

Just a hunch, but since gold has been "running good" lately, I'm gonna put a few bucks on Johannesburg "on the nose"....<G>
