Another failed attempt at a rational argument.

"Did anyone else here challenge that number. NO!

No. Nor, did anyone here challenge you on the number you contributed. Why...well it has nothing to do with whether or not we are an <<explitive>>. We all know there is a large number. It would be impossible to determine how many specific jobs are directly related to microsoft payroll, along with all of the support jobs and the related industries. There is an entire high tech city that has been built in India that Indians tell me is devoted to Bill Gates et al. I personally hate Microsoft because I do think it has gotten so big that competition is being stiffled.

I think an exact number of thousands of persons on MS payroll could be established and I think that number could be expanded to millions based on the paragraph above.

Many such indepth discussions have been explored, thought about, fought about, and discussed on this thread. Some of us feel we have grown by the experiences. Simply resorting to a tyrade when some one challenges you is unproductive and based on the recent posts of yours I've read simply destructive and pointless beyond that. I have many dissenters of my opinions on this thread and am happy to continue engaging them even provoking them in discussion; as long as it appears that the discussion is topical and going someplace. I disengage from discussions where there is no opportunity for that. Benefit of the doubt to you, do you want to discuss or just banter? I welcome discussion even if it is someone like you who is a bit hostile. Other wise we can each move on.

You're a boob. I never even saw the post by Bill you referred to. And...as for dickheads, you define the term...

It was an estimate. There are approximately 100 million information systems workers worldwide, up from only about 3 million when Gates started Microsoft. So maybe the number should be 20 million? WTF is the difference?

As usual, you missed the entire point. Gates's wealth is nothing compared to the impact he and his company have had on society during the past 20 years. Sure, the software has some occasional problems (who's doesn't?) and the company is too dominant, but these are issues that can be managed.

Just think, a guy with a good idea, great strategy and solid implementation plan can turn a startup into a monopoly. Don't you wish you could?
