What Poet wants, does, thinks, says to others etc is no longer an issue. Everytime you suggest that it is, the entanglement that blocks any resolution continues. Her only relevent issue with you is to be left completely alone.

"But if this is her real desire, which seems from her actions to be the case, and she really wants to hear from me while pretending she doesn'tI don't mind accommodating her, as I would any other friend when I can."

I have kept out of this for the most part (for the entire part in recent weeks). But when you say "I don't mind accommodating her, as I would any other friend when I can", do you mean to assert that you believe Poet is your friend, and that this belief is substantial to your behaviour here? Perhaps this is the problem. Is Poet your friend? Does she have any say in this relationship, or have you decided it is to be so?
