Al, if there was a gold conspiracy then, in my opinion, it would not have been a "one way street" simply to depress the price of the metal.

Having depressed the price of gold then, if there was a conspiracy, the conspirators would have been buying-in big-time at rock-bottom prices. The last thing the conspirators would have been doing for the past year would be selling-short. In fact, all short positions would have been unwound long ago.

So, in my my opinion, the proof of whether there was a conspiracy, or not, will be seen by how high the gold price goes now. The higher the price, and presumably the quicker it rises, the more likely there was a conspiracy.

But then we would want to know who those guys are who did it.
