It is not uncommon for people who did not do well at school to fall short of their career aspirations and then look for somebody to blame -- "foreign barbarians" (not to mention gays, liberal politicians, bankers, etc., etc.)

Exactly. It happens over and over. In Spain about a decade ago they were paying the price of a backwards society implemented by Dictator Franco, but they blamed it all in a few thousand latin-american immigrants.

In Germany, 70 years ago they were paying the price of having lost the first World War, something which they brought upon themselves; but according to you-know-who, it was the fault.... of the jews!

Here we have the US, a country brought to world dominance in no small part due to the efforts of foreign scientists (Manhattan project) and other entreprenurial immigrants (Intel anyone), but according to Craig the reason he can't get a job is one too many brownies.
