damn those comm guys- they keep inventing stuff! Then they leave US, (the software people) with the task of applying it... <gg>

I'm anticipating deja vu all over again in software when this wireless invasion hits. People forget enterprise software was on its knees in 1998 when the internet took off. We still had client/server and weren't prepared for the shift. Dave Duffield especially was thrown for a loop at peoplesoft, it took two years to retool. Hope we can avoid that this time but some apps like warehousing and some inventory I think are total rewrites to exploit wireless. Maybe salesforce too.
