Arafat, it seems to me, has emerged stronger, not weaker from the conflict. I think this part of the Israeli mission was unsuccessful although on balance I still agree with the decision to proceed as they did...

Hi there,

Long time no see.

What I find amazing is that most of the newspaper accounts treat the people being held by Palestinian gunmen as if they were travelers stranded by a snowstorm, instead of treating them as hostages or human shields.
