Style is everything. For one thing, it took ages before the stock did anything to indicate he was right. Chicken Little is hardly a good name to have for yourself...and it doesn't pay to show up a year later and claim "I told you so". That's BS. If you knew something, why didn't it happen the way you laid it out? If the sky is falling, why didn't it fall? It fell a year later, and you were right because you said it ages ago?
Especially if there's a good chance you didn't know anything. Much of the selloff is hardly related to fundamentals, let alone technicals. Much of it can be traced to a major fund(s) falling into panic mode. Underperformance on the part of a money manager can kill a number of stocks.

Secondly, his style of message deliver is painful. I don't mind someone disagreeing with me (Jay and I have turned a previously adversarial relationship around). I just don't want someone lording it over me. I've made money on ORCL when I dumped around 88. I didn't sit here and tell everyone to SELL SELL SELL. I kept a portion. I didn't know what direction it was going in, but when I considered my entry point was 10, it paid to get out some of my cash over 80.
NYCB is on ignore with me because he was an ass, and I made several overtures to him at the beginning to tone down his act. He's just not a likable character.

Furthermore, NYCB has forgone many short term trades over the years, on ORCL, while waiting for the possibility of an extreme occurrence. Nevertheless, he wants to buy shares in ORCL.

Actually, he is falling behind.
