robinplunder, that generation was brought up with the buy and hold strategy. Try as you may, it is a noble pursuit. But most won't listen. To them it's patriotic to hold stocks. I say, give it to charity before giving the money away to other traders . The many unscrupulous execs and wall st 'professionals' deserve nothing from hard working americans who put their faith in them.

If you want to get him to sell, try another approach.
