It is still a reasonable bet that shorts will cover today and reload later on the next bounce.

Better to be long here and then dump at the close or Monday AM.

That explosives scare caused a further drop but it was not that significant.
My conclusion is that there are buyers of tech out there today---they are selective in what is bought but they are there.

Joseph , there's even more to it than that imo. It's so difficult to be confident that numbers released are 'honest'. An earnings rebound has to be accompanied by reasons for us to believe it.

I think Greenie 's got big cajones to say what he did about stock options expensing. It ain't easy being honest about touchy subjects like that; even GWB disagrees.

The crisis of confidence is a long way from being over. Bounces notwithstanding, this market has plenty more excess to squeeze out. And fundies gotta be getting pretty stressed by now.
