Well, I didn't know the exact code, but I think you've proven my point.

So, guns are illegal unless owned by a male citizen between 17 and 45 (except, presumably, some rare exceptions... as provided in section 313 of title 32) - or a female citizen of any age if she's in the National Guard (or is that both sexes must be in the NG? the grammar isn't clear).
Oh, and any male who has declared an intention to become a US citizen is also in the militia. I think that covers the Sep 11 terrorists...

It was people with their own private weapons who where called up or volunteered for service.
So now you get to have a gun if you're either drafted or volunteer for 'service'? Fine... let's see those NRA boys shipped off to Afghanistan, en masse... LOL. Then they can meet a *real* citizen's militia.

You do see my point? the language quoted proves how restricted the 'right' is... and also demonstrates that the 'right' is whatever passes by the ruling power.
