But in a society with a government and military structure that enforces the obligations of "money", money is *everything*.

Money is the power to enslave, to force people to do what you want. If you pay someone 20 million dollars to sit in front of your TV and perform jumping jacks in the nude, all day long, you own them. Money gave you that power.

If you spend 2 billion dollars, you can enslave 5,000 workers for 12 months and erect a skyscraper in any city you want. Live in the penthouse and pay the local police to leave you alone- go on a drug induced orgy of hedonism and vice for years.. As long as the bills are paid.

If you spend $100,000 you can have dinner with the speaker of the house every weekend for a year and let him know what sorts of issues are important that he vote on..

And so on..

Money is *everything*.. that is, until anarchy begins, in which case guns, ammo, cigarettes, and young fertile women are the currency of trade.
