Good points. But the macro dynamics that I listed in the previous post will push our dollar down, regardless of world views of how strong our economy is. I mean if we keep the printing presses running full steam for years, we have to expect inflation and dollar devaluation. Money supply is overwhelming demand, so it's just a matter of time. Gold rising is a herald of what's coming with the dollar. That doesn't necessarily have to sink our economy, but it will make it more difficult for us to claw our way out of a slowdown to a recovery.

Here's to being positioned for the worst, yet hoping for the best. Cheers!
