Jim, Greenspan is now arguing for counting stock options as an expense:

Not only that, but he's also arguing for a new way to value granted options:

Greenspan also argued that companies should change the way they grant options to tie their value not just to how the company's stock price is doing but to some measurement of how the company is performing relative to its competitors.

Wonder what that measurement should be? Seems like any such measurement is open to manipulation. Just ask AMD marketing (or INTC marketing if you're a 'Droid). ;-)
