Thanks, Claud. Were there ever any other failures other than 9-11? I think we barely cleared the August and March 2001 buy signal points on the subsequent rallies, and the Nasdaq and S&P are likely still below those levels. They did eventually produce pretty good rallies, though.

John Roque said the signal works best with a one-day very high closing TRIN, like 4.0 or higher.

I think you are correct Claud.

I watch the TRIN, TRIN-5 and the Eliades New Trin. Interestingly enough the Eliades shows no sure signs, at least to me, that a significant bottom is yet in process. It does show some sign, to me anyway, that we are on the edge, meaning if things don't hold here we go down maybe a fair amount.

I get somewhat the same feeling from the VIX and VIXN.
