Greenspan is perhaps the most unaccountable, and worst Federal Reserve chairman the US has ever had. History is and will show this to be very true. The US needs to move towards MORE DEMOCRACY, more open, more accountable government. Not less. Not lifetime or long termed independent agency appointments that are governments and tyrannical dictators unto themselves. This is no longer an age of lack of education or lack of information, where a small group could buy out the government and therefore in the heat of passion of a single election have a coup, like that which ousted the Federalists who in turn created the lifetime appointments of an expanded Federal Judiciary for all those ex-Congressman thrown out of office by the Jeffersonians before the Jeffersonians took office, and thus packed the Courts and returned the US Federal Judiciary to the unaccountable ROYAL COURTS of England, which we still have today. Why not hold 6 or 10 yea Federal Judicial Elections also, region by region, or state by state. Mak the Supreme Court likewise subject to election, allowing the President only to appoint the Chief Justice from among the elected, and again for a limited term. LIMITED POWER, LIMITED CORRUPTION. The Same for the Federal Reserve and numerous other bloated and unaccountable Federal Agencies. ABSOLUTE POWER CORRUPTS ABSOLUTELY. Time for a change, time for Democracy, Time to Trust the American People. We no longer travel long distances by horseback, we no longer commicate solely by long traveled pony mail, information is instantaneous, everywhere and people are educated and well informed and able to run their own affairs, make their own decisions, and govern themselves. This should be the end of the age of Tyrants. Tryanny anywhere is Tryanny Everywhere, this is a smaller, global world. Lets improve it, lets leave something better than we found it to our children and grandchildren. Only Failed Communist favor CENTRAL CONTROL, only Greenspan is trying desperately to cling to the Past. We shall overcome and endure and walk in the sunshine of the Future.
