There sure seems to be a LOT of negative sentiment here and in the press in general. A good contrarian indicator? Cisco has been beat up so much recently that unless they totally miss their number next week, I expect a good (but maybe temporary) tech rally.

And this is different from the 80's and 90's ... how? Seems like Congress is trying to be more fiscally conservative these days, even if it's just mere words. This is very different from the 80's, where it was argued that higher taxes were necessary to pay down the national debt. Who's arguing that anymore, except in the subtle "Puff Daschle" way?
