JT .. my outlook/analysis of all the horses in the Derby ... applies to WIN bets ONLY and is subject to change with track condition other than confirmed FAST other finish positions NOT considered in this post ... 1- Joburg ... factor A 2- Wild Horses ... factor B 3- Perfect Drift ... remains in consideration 4- Lusty Latin ...factor B 5- War Emblem ... remains in consideration 6- Ocean Sound ... factor A 7- Request ... factor A 8- EOD ... factor A 9- M d'Oro ... best one still in consideration 10- scratch ... but factor A had him chunked anyway 11- Private Emblem ... still considering but surely is cheap 12- Castle Gandolfo ... still left on my win list 13- Proud Citizen ... don't know why I left him this long but still here 14- H Holiday ... factor B 15- Came Home ... still on the list, but I'm weakening 16- Saarland ... MY best horse but I'm fearful of the outside hole, even though Shug picked it when 8-9-10-11 were gone ... he had a reason not to pick inside the 8 but I'm still puzzled why he went all the way out to the 16 17- Dan ... still on my win list 18-19-20 ... factor B and I hate the post numbers that leaves on my list to consider WIN betting ... 3-5-9-11-12-13-15-16-17 * A factor ---- eliminates because of lack of total points on Dosage Index * B factor ---- eliminates because of Rasie A Native bias in breeding I'll post some more later this evening ... as I simply know the thread is so very much eagerly awaiting my announcement ... hehehehehe

J.T. Lusty Latin and Easy Grades are out of the SA Derby. I want to be clear. I don't think they are better than the other horses. In fact, I think several horses are better than them and more likely to win. What I am looking for is horses that I believe are a little better than people think. These two might fit the bill. On the flip side, there are others horses in there that are also good. Request for Parole and Harlan's Holiday are two of them. I suspect they will be overbet. If they are not, then I might consider them. The final odds will determine my bet. I want high odds on whoever I bet on because I believe there's at least 10 horses with a decent shot. Wayne
