RE:"Ok, if it'll make you feel better, I hope Intel is doing 64-bit x86 extensions and I hope they are doing them for Prescott and if I was to place a bet then I would bet they are in fact doing it, and probably on Prescott. Additionally I don't think there's a snowball's chance in Hell that they'll use Hammers instructions. But I still honestly don't know anything about it and if I did I wouldn't have said what I just said."

I admit, it is refreshing to see you post this "opinion" even though you really don't know anything about it.
I realize it's just an opinion but a logical one none the less.

RE:"[Edit] if you're as dumb as you're acting then you'll think I just admitted I know something. Reminds me of a Monty Python skit in "The life of Brian"."

Dumb? how am I acting dumb? You were the one acting dumb... as in "Yamill, never heard of it before"...

I was merely making the point AMD is so slow with Hammer that Intel could get their own x86-64 chip out in front of it...(TIC)

Elmer, I remember long ago when I was chastised and ridiculed by all the 'bees over there for even suggesting that Intel would make an x86-64 competitor and that it would definitely be incompatible with x86-64. Their reasoning was that Intel does not follow AMD and that all their decisions are purely business related and they have nothing to do with AMD and that since there's no reason to have 64-bitness on desktops/laptops Intel would never follow AMD there.
