ali wasn't the hardest hitter of all time, for sure. he had a good punch, though. just ask foreman, who was 40-0 when he fought ali and hadn't seen round 3 in two years (including a 2 round knock out of smokin' joe for the title), how he hit the canvass. ;-)

ali could sure take a punch, too. frazier and foreman literally unloaded on him. frazier's corner saved joe from being knocked out in the 15th in the thrilla in manilla. frazier was the only man to knock ali to the canvas, right (he was up in 3 second)?

that, in and of itself, is really amazing.

tyson in his prime might have been the hardest hitter ever. i think clay (ok, ok! ;-) woulda beat him rather easily b/c his quickness negated power and woulda frustrated the best tyson ever had to no end.

imho, foeman may have been considered the hardest puncher ever - until ali took everything he had and still dropped him. ;-)
