hey, want to invest in a company who's CEO reports to God?

Incoming AOL Time Warner (nyse:
AOL - news - people ) Chief
Executive Richard Parsons has
visions. He said he plans to simplify
the structure of the media giant
when he takes over at the end of
this month, and is considering
several options, including a public
offering of its cable systems. The
CEO-elect also discussed ending a venture with AT&T
(nyse: T - news - people ) that involves Warner Bros.
studios, HBO and some of AOL's cable systems. Parsons
added he was still in talks with the Newhouse family about
restructuring a cable deal involving 2.3 million subscribers.
In response to questions about his relationship with
Chairman Steve Case, who is said to be transfixed with
the company's long-term mission, rather than day-to-day
details, Parsons maintained the relationship works. "Steve
is a partner and Bob Pittman is a partner, but ultimately
[the strategy] has to be something the CEO can embrace
and drive," Parsons said. "I report to the board and Steve
is the chairman and Steve reports to God."
