Even in the realm of motivation, there is practically no similarity. The pirates sought booty. Al- Quaida seeks to establish a reign of holiness in the Muslim world, defeat the Great Satan, and see the Muslims, and especially the Arabs, rise as the dominant power due to the favor of Allah......Your Second Amendment comment escaped me entirely......
