Over the past 2 - 3 years, I've also noticed more people stopping to move turtles off of the highway when it is likely they will be hit.>>

I was on a dirt levee road and saw a turtle laying eggs in a hole she had dug. Parked just short of her and took a walk. When I got back she had left and hadn't been run over.

I always move turtles whenever possible....i have some very bad turtle karma to amend...
