When Debases Kanjilal, a Queens pediatrician, picked up his phone to call lawyer Jacob H Zamansky, he had no idea he would whip up a full fledged hurricane on Wall Street.
Kanjilal claimed he lost $500,000 investing in Infospace inc., an Internet stock he says his Merrill Lynch &co broker urged him not to sell when it was trading at $60 a share. By the time he sold, it was down to $11 a share.
He lucked out. Today its on sale for 99c, and the bargain seekers are all over it.
