Sorry, I do apologise - I had never heard of McKinney before, so didn't alert to the name when you requoted - you should have kept that bit of the article. My bad, it wasn't a gratuitous insult.
I'm not sure her idiocy was worse than LaPierre's, mind... but I guess that is subjective.
Whichever, neither justifies or excuses LaPierre's stance. And it is almost a definition of irrationalia.

I think I remember you expressed mild displeasure with the steel tariffs... this is not really a challenging or demarcating line, however, for anyone comprehending the basic meaning of 'free trade' or 'illegal subsidy', not to mention 'protectionism'. I'd be more impressed with disagreement on something with some contentiousness, especially if such did not fall directly across RR party lines.
