You are correct, "a huge PE doesn't mean they are cheap".

You are incorrect, "cyclical growth" is not an "oxymoron."

If these are "great companies", then they are not "terrible investments." You might want lower prices, I do, and you might or might not get them. Investments are relatively valued not absolutely valued. In today's world there are few great companies and many terrible investments.
