Hi surfbaron! We use the feeders that you can get at Wal-Mart. They have various kinds. We get the kind that have four stations, or whatever you call them, one on each side of the feeder where the birds can eat. It's rare, but sometimes four hummingbirds will be at the same feeder, one on each station, at the same time.

The feeders hang down from a tree limb. Put them where there are visible. We have the large kind that hold about four cups and also the smaller 2 cup size.

For the solution, we use:

1. 4 cups of water
2. 1 cup of sugar
3. And a few drops of red food coloring, enough to make it medium red.

We tried a teeny tiny feeder that held only about a half a cup last year. It only had a single place to feed unlike the bigger ones with four places. We put it on a wire hook in a flower bed hanging off the deck. They found it and loved it there!

Take care, surfbaron.
