Thanks for the long post on the Schelling FA article

Thank you John but as I recall you have a copy of the May-June issue and my comments are extremely brief. <g> I just thought I would try to illustrate an example of the fine work that is to be enjoyed by subscribing to FA. (And frankly, I hope we can diversify the dialog around here a bit.)

I'm reading the Rumsfeld Transforming the Military article right now. The guy is an engaging writer and says some interesting things that I'll be mentioning later (anyone else out there want to review an article?).

Personally, I think it would be fun to have each one of us in turn lead a discussion on one particular article from each issue. We could cover a lot of ground this way. Since the magazine is a bi-monthly we'd have about eight weeks to cover each issue. We probably should cover the articles posted online at foreignaffairs.org first and them delve into the other articles, book reviews, and correspondence.
