i was going to go on a very badly needed diet- for hdl, cholestorol, weight loss, blood pressure, diabetes. now, i learn cinco de mayo is a mexican holiday celebrating defeat of french by mexico. i will start my diet may 6. len supports freedom fighters. palestinians violated rules of war by using civilians as shields. they put fighters in civilian areas. they use schools, hospitals, ambulances, residences- civilians as shields. perhaps, israel used palestinian civilians as shields after palestinians booby trapped civilian homes. the israeli reservists are in a non-technical sense civilians. the suicide bombers are in a sense hard to distinguish from civilians. women, children and those over 40 are used by both sides in their war efforts- especially if the war will last more decades- the infants will grow to be soldiers and will give birth to soldiers. civilians pay taxes which support the military. civilians feed, house, harbor, support soldiers and terrorists. it is very complicated. arguably, it would be wrong to bomb paris even if there were no jews living in paris. this sort of situation may lead some perplexed to drink margaritas tomorrow and mint juleps today.
