To the extent that pumping credit cards and credit spending in advertising is manipulation of group behaviour, yes.

As to the "crisis" being contrived, I did not say that there were no problems in the economy, I simply believe that the crisis aspect was contrived in order to move wealth away from the working masses and into the hands of the large capitalist entities.
