<Yes, people are realists ;-) > Nadine, they are unimaginative Luddites, not realists. They want the world to stay the same, unable to imagine something better, fearful of the future and any change. So, they repeat the failed past, day after day in a MAD Groundhog Day. Evolution works slowly, but it works. Suicide bombers filter their DNA out of the pool. They randomly get their victims, so the suicide bombers are genetic losers; but that's over the very long term and 10,000 years of suicide bombing might not be that much fun for all concerned. We have brains and imaginations because they have been useful in the past for learning from failure and thinking of better ways of dealing with things.
