Skeets, The difference is, the horses don't tell the touts how they're feeling that day. The cos. do and the analysts should have a better grip. Plus, a one in 18 chance to be right is tough. Wayne Crimi and Nemer had War Emblem to win, among a couple of others. I had him in second (among 3 others who have yet to finish the race) on my exacta ticket, so I liked him a little bit. But the bad thing about this race was that at least 12 of the horses had a decent shot if they ran up to potential and the race developed their way.

And, in the end, I should have bet trainers. Like others, I thought Bob Baffert and D. Wayne Lukas were entering the Derby for ego purposes and didn't really have the guns this year. That's my story and I'm sticking to it. Finishing first and second does not change my opinion. <VBG>
