It is really ironic -- in the bubble the idiot chorus was "buy and hold" -- now, when buy and hold might actually make sense, the idiot chorus is "trade for the short term". The bottom -- wherever it might be -- will come. It could be that the Nas goes to 1,200, or 1,000 or whatever. And there are lots of companies out there that are going to go bankrupt -- buy and hold does not work in those situations. But overall, to say that buy and hold made sense when JDSU was at 225 but now that it is under 5 it no longer makes sense -- well, what a farce.
