the market should break the lows by 10-20 points ....

Or maybe it will tread water in a 100 - 200 point range (960 - 1160) for a year or so until the trendline catches up with it ?

Which lows? The Sept. 2001 lows on the S&P?

When I was talking about historical rate of return, I was referring to 50-years or so. I guess interest rates would also have to be factored in to get a fair historical rate to be applied between 1990 and 2002.
