OK, Nadine, now lookit. You can't have it both ways. If the Israelis are better than the Palestinians, does that not explain the double standard? Can we have a respite from having to page through every double standard article from every news source in the known world?

There is a large difference between holding oneself to certain standards of behavior, and insisting that someone else personify the utmost in moral standards, while holding his opponent to no standard whatsoever. The latter stance, as LindyBill says, expects civilization from the Jews and barbarism from the Arabs.

You have every right to insist on your own standards. You have no right to insist on other people's standards in such an arbitrary way, dealing out superior judgements on a whim.
