I have made plenty of money, and except for certain indicators of the general market ( i.e. the A/D line), I have found TA to be much worse than useless. It's just a bunch of superstitious crap like astrology, palm-reading, Tarot cards, Edgar Cayce predictions, and interpreting the entrails of scarificial victims. Totally useless. Now measures of valuation such as P/Es and stock yields, and some contrarian measures of the market, are definitely useful. But most TA is like looking at flood gauge on a river with no knowledge of what the weather is upstream. Your daily horoscope on the comic pages is just as helpful.
