geez stan, don't turn me out into a US FASB auditor! ROFL Rule 142 is the famous "goodwill booked at real value" project. I was referring to the options benefits to be booked as expenses. Dunno the office you all number. On another subject, if I am correct, the SA companies (in particular the miners) now have to report a marked to market hedge book at each earnings release. Think this only has been in effect recently (FY 2002?) and no wonder SA miners are cutting down their hedge books.<g>.
