E, one thing I'd like to understand is how environmentalists champion Gore and say Bush is tied to big oil. Gore has an incestuous relationship with Occidental Petroleum and has a zinc mine has poisoned a river in Tennessee.

Since Bush has been in office a lot has been done to make burning high sulfur coal a lot cleaner. That's a plus as we have a bunch of it. My electric co-op is building a coal plant that will burn dirty coal 50% cleaner than what is required in 2025.

He's also pushing ethanol. Burns gas a lot cleaner than MTBE and works the whole time the engine is on unlike MTBE that only helped while the choke was on. Doesn't cause cancer like MTBE does either.

Are you trying to cause trouble? Huh? Look, we gave you Nixon, you gave us Clinton. That's the deal. And as it was OK to talk about Nixon for years afterwards, now it's you're turn in the barrel.

Let's cut another deal. We'll blame all those Gore quotes AND all those Bush quotes on Quayle. Deal?

Because otherwise we'll have to establish who actually said what and since our primary source- -the internet- -is allegedly unreliable, this could get messy.
