Mish, I had the same experience with Salton and sure the shorts masacred the stock with constant lies and false or misleading lines, but over about 3 years they never did show any real problems in the stock, just that they had the leverage and most investors stayed away.

ACF was taken down from 60 to 14 on unfounded and misleading statements, yet it recoverd to mid-30s and greed apparently hit the wires once again and it was taken down to 18 this time and it bounced back over 40 and all that time never declined in its strong earnings reports.

I would like to know what strategy sheet was floated among the short community last month whereby it so exicted the mob to increase from 5 to 12 M shares shorted. That is a whale of an increase right in front of earnings so is it simply another massive effort of united shorts to try to panic investors once again or is there something behind the scenes that hasn't been reported. I have seen it both ways over the years and admit it does make me a bit nervous, but mostly that your friends may successulfully manipulate ESST. It is so much easier to panic investors in a weak market, so it may take a while for the truth to be revealed.
