I don't know either. I use the raw data from the government site and suck it into my data base each Friday from

cftc.gov

It has every slant and angle on the COTs you could imagine and also has all the contracts, not just indexes.

I have seen the more popular short form often posted on SI be off from these .txt reports a few times so maybe that is it.

There was some minimal short covering in the NDX large contracts but just recalling off the top of my head, I think it was something like over 27000 NDX E-mini contracts they added to the short side which more than made up for the decrease in large contracts.

Oh well, doesn't matter now. We just have to hope that they are covering on this decline now and that it will show up in this week's report. If they STILL aren't covering. OUCH!!! What will be their target? 0? -ggg-

Maybe Greenspan will do another one of his surprise rate cuts to minus 5%. -g-
