Very unbecoming and unWAT-like. It (the soup we find ourselves in) all is a consequence of global WAT. To paraphrase, whether we want to or not, with it or not, like it or not, and have anything to do with it or not. It is all so clear, beyond question and thinking, until we have to. In any case, we are already in the soup, and so we better start drinking fast so as to be done with it (WAT, as opposed to fretting). It is best that we stop it (fretting, as opposed to WATing), else we will start defining civilization again ;o) I actually find it odd that Buffet can talk about stock investing and a nuclear NYC all in the same session. Like, the dots are not connected, in the language of Fleck.Message 17426975 If so, then the Argentine stock exchange may yet outperform. Assymetric nuclear parity is dangerous, is democratic (one country one vote), but probably not a good idea. I am concerned that HK may get hit by a Kaboom device in transit through our very efficient container port, because I am supposing that the other side may see matters in the same way as I described, you know, 'with me or without me' or some such slogan. HK, with our financial reserve (USD 40 billion), low cost contract manufacturing base, flexible cross-border labour mobility, and IPO ability, can probably field a pretty decent sized self-defense force, hiring from the best in the world, equipped with the most advanced on the planet. Too many moving pieces, going too fast, and out of control, of too many. Chugs, Jay
