I've probably said this before but it looks to me like the market of exising PC users will not settle for less than 2.0 ghz processors. It makes sense to buy the latest and greatest if you want longevity of usability anyhow.

Yousef, Dan3 obviously hasn't noticed, but have you?

Intel is raising their desktop ASPs slowly but surely with their high end processors. .13u manufacturing hasn't ramped fully, but I bet there will be 6-8M Northwood CPUs sold this quarter, and twice as many next quarter. By then, Northwood will be comprise a more significant portion of Intel's overall CPU sales, so I would expect GMs to be much better by the end of the year, especially if they can maintain the lead that they are currently enjoying.
