There is very little potential for a short-squeeze in SUNW. It has a lower short interest than most other big tech stocks such as MSFT, INTC, CSCO, and ORCL.

The sentiment in SUNW as measured by near put/call open interest or by shares short does not indicate a bottom is at hand.

I am not saying it can not go up. I am but pointing out that folks are not overly bearish on SUNW; not what one would like to see if one is long or hoping to get long.

On the chart, it is struggling to keep the shelf made in 1997 and 1998. All the chart-watchers can see it and many have bet that it will hold. I expect that even if it does, that first they will run some of the stops of these dip-buyers, as they are doing right at this moment in fact.

If this level does not hold, then of course there would be some buying at the magical $5 mark, but there is not very much chart support in that area.

Cheers
