PT, Re: <I may still buy some but not as many $$$ and with a little longer time frame.>

I just cancelled that order I had in for PRGN @ $0.80.

No way, IMO, do a CEO and CFO bail out because of a $100M $ shuffle.

My take is Anderson wouldn't call something standard and now KPMG has said they won't either.

Re: <I am seriously considering that accounting in general may not be all that it should.>

LOL. A friend in the tax accounting business used to refer to the tax return as 'an offer in principal to negotiate'. My guess is that the other side of the accounting biz is about the same.

Please thank your daughter for me on the handle compliment.

It's the *DISCLOSURE* in general issue that bothers me. The accounting is just one part of the problem.

"Enron filed the biggest U.S. bankruptcy five months ago, in part because triggers in trade agreements required it to repay $3.9 billion once its ratings were cut to junk. Many of those clauses couldn't be found in public documents."

quote.bloomberg.com

It's really hard(sometimes impossible) to dig out the info on these agreements.

How much is PRGN worth? Total value today, based on last night's close, $162M. About 1Q of revenue. Book value ~$1.6B.

Last June PRGN bought Remedy for ~$1B.

And I'm not willing to pay $0.80 for $8.00 in accounting money!

How times change!
