Dave, the dishonesty on Wall Street is just part of the pervasive lack of ethical or morale standing that exists in what America likes to regard as its 'free enterprise' system. Wall Street is no different from many other areas of life in the USA. Its not apathy, just an understanding of the reality. There are many individuals who maybe fine people in their private lives, but do illegal things in their business or the business of making money ... and, quite frankly, it seems no one cares unless they are caught (or hurt by the process). Just jmho based on observations relative to other parts of the world I've lived of visited.

Best regards

Stephen

"The problem is [not] enough people [complain.]"
Message #6735 from Dave Gore
... would write the SEC
... then write [your] local and state representatives,
and the Senate Subcommittee who deals in these things.
Anybody know how to contact the later?[end.]
Dave,
Good New & Bad News
The people here have "Been There, Done That"
gata.org
Now the Bad News - Did Not Work
or
No need to try as they have tried.
Why?
The only way the bad will exit with the good returned
will be when these House of Cards fall. Period.
To be honest,
Only when the manipulation that everyone on this thread
has knowned about from day 1 became un-manageable
did anyone speak out for change. Seems that corruption
and criminal behavior is a problem only when one is affected
by it directly, or one cannot continue to protect oneself and
their loved ones from it because it have gotten out of control.
Last December when you started this thread i appeared and
posted in the first week a story that contained mention that
manipulation existed as we all knew, but i included mention
that if not deal with that it would spin out of control and hurt
us all in these markets. At that point in time everyone on this
thread was able to deal with it day by day and felt no need to
address it as a problem needing action. Seems that 99% of
the folks in the USA are clueless to the depth of manipulation,
not because they don't feel its there, but they are foolishly hoping
that the Powers that Be, and federal government leaders have
and will continue to protect them. Nope, thats where the ability
and desire to manipulate exist. Where were you last December
when i cried out that a problem existed? Answer, here but not
interested in the good v evil battles since you were able to fight
and win battles. Now, nope and now you cry foul.
Too late.
Correction will happen when House of Cards fall.
