Mike's big achievement was to return control of CPQ to management. Echardt was not a tech guy, and the divisions ran all over him. Mike is no Charles Stigletz, but he is in touch with the market and he knows enough tech not to get pushed around. The only issue left to decide is whether their perception of the market place is correct, and again, I think it is. You'll see. d.
