People who own SUNW stock are selling.

When you watch trades going through and see the price declining, ask yourself "Where are the upticks?" and then tell me how much shorting is going on.

If you want to clutch at straws to make yourself feel better then a better theory would be that margin calls are driving the stock down. But don't come on here and make things up that can be shown to be wrong.

Then what IYO is driving the market for SUNW lower?

"We're in a bear market" would be the simplest answer. One could also make a case that SUNW remains overvalued. I am not sure that looking for a reason makes any sense. Why did the NASDAQ roll over in March of 2000? There was no bad news then. If we knew the reason for a price movement, then the old saw "Buy the rumour, sell the news." would not be an old saw.

Cheers
