So, where will the surprise we expect come from? Remember, the two choices I think are: 1) Dive straight to/past the September lows. 2) Turn before enough that the bears lose there confidence that we are making the trip there. The window is open for the former, there is no doubt. If it comes as a result of some external shock, the bulls will say there was no way to see it. That of course, is silly. The risk is greatly increased down here and they should be adjusting their portfolios accordingly.
