Buffet's comment is not new although maybe just picked up by the media. As a major direct writer of personal lines with Geico and a major reinsurer with GenRe and one other I would assume he is pointing out the US Insurers can't be expected to underewrite terrorism coverage. Its got to be backstopped by the US government.

I forget if I read his comment on a nuclear attack in the annual report or somewhere else but its not new news.

No shit dumbass... Everyone in the world knows that this can happen at any time.... Just like a metor can hit the earth at anytime... To come on the board and almost gleefully proclaim this is obscene. I'm short this market also but come on guys let's have some dignity here.... We live in a crazy world and its ok to profit from world events and potential world event but this is coming across as you morons are almost rooting for an attack..
