i keep asking a few front line brokers if gold comes across their telephones. so far, barely a peep. this is still a game w/o jsixfootdeep I'm guessing.

What's happening to CEF (which I have been buying and holding for years and years, but which I sold before the current mania for it set in) is, I hope, just an isolated craving for holding physical bullion in the most completely convenient and safe form that I know of. Anyone in his or her right mind who wants to do the same thing should just buy Maple Leafs and put them in a safe deposit box. A small safe deposit box can easily hold $100,000 worth of bullion coins. No reason in the world to pay such a premium as has developed in CEF. I sure hope that we are not seeing a miniature bull market in gold comparable to the miniature bear market in stocks of 1987.
